About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life is hard and everyone has times where they struggle. I can offer a safe space to explore your feelings and problems and help you through difficult times.
I am an empathetic, non-judgemental BACP accredited counsellor using integrative techniques to help you through your issues in order to lead a happier, more fulfilling life. I am predominately person-centred in the way that I let you lead the session whilst using techniques as needed to help you move forward in your life. I believe that every person and issue should be treated on an individual basis and so will I use the therapy techniques that suit you.
I have experience of working with a wide range of age groups including young people aged 16+. I understand how confusing and troubling teenage years can be and the issues surrounding this.
As well as working as a private counsellor, I have worked for Women centre as a Survive and Thrive counsellor working with people who have experienced domestic abuse and the trauma related to this. I have previously worked for Rochdale and district Mind and Noah’s Ark centre in Halifax where I have supported a very diverse range of clients and issues. I have also worked for PH7 Wellbeing centre in Burnley with NHS and private clients through the pandemic. I also work for Health Assured. I am a registered psychotherapist with Axa, Aviva, Vitality and Bupa. I have particular specialisms in autism, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, PTSD and abuse and I have worked together with clients to help them achieve their goals and lead a more fulfilling life. Often past experiences can cause problems and behaviours in the present and therefore we may need to explore this in order for you to move forward in your future life goals.
