About me and my therapy practice
Most people at some point in their life will find themselves struggling or feeling overwhelmed by a problem, this may be due to something happening right now or it may be to do with something in our past. We often put a lot of pressure on ourselves, thinking we should be able to cope on our own with everything that life throws at us. Taking care of our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health, particularly during these uncertain times, and you don’t have to face your problems alone.
I am a qualified and experienced person-centred counsellor and have worked with people facing various issues such as: relationship or family problems, low confidence and self-esteem, childhood trauma, suicidal thoughts, bereavement, and anxiety.
Practice description
My aim is to offer you a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore your issues at your own pace. I will not advise you or tell you what you should do, instead I will work in collaboration with you to help you move forward.
I offer sessions both online or in person on a long or short term basis, depending on your individual needs.
My first session
It’s important that you find a counsellor who is right for you and that you feel comfortable with, and it may be that you’ve never had counselling before, so the first session is more of an introduction – a chance for you to talk about your reasons and goals for counselling, for me to tell you about the way I work, and for you to ask any questions. You don’t have to decide immediately if you want to work with me, I would encourage you to think about if I feel like the right fit for you before booking any further sessions.
I am currently offering initial introductory sessions online only for £30, thereafter sessions are £65. Sessions last for 50 minutes. To arrange an introductory session please get in touch and I will aim to respond within 24 hours (please allow longer over weekends and bank holidays).
