I work online with a secured easy to use Psychology Today professional web application, in office at Haslemere Centre for Complimentary Therapy, and outdoors in Walk and Talk therapy.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a person centred, trauma informed clinical counseling psychotherapist who is able to integrate an eco psychology and mind - body spiritual approach to assist you in your therapy goals.
My work encompasses a working knowledge of formal diagnosis with a commitment to assist you in empowering yourself to develop your own abilities to meet life's challenges, unlocking your resiliency and personal strengths.
I work in a therapeutically relational way, listening fully, and creating a trusted, safe space with professional boundaries , promoting your own agency, self knowledge and advocacy as you negotiate life's challenges.
I offer you unconditional positive regard-accepting you for you in all aspects of who you are - and respecting what you bring to therapy.
Practice description
Along with traditional person centred and systemic / family therapy, I can offer elemental, nature based therapy to support you in the therapy process.
I offer walk and talk therapy, mind/body awareness, meditation practice development, and/or spiritual exploration.
As a therapist I have a clear understanding of the power of nature/ oneness to support our healing process.
I believe when we experience feelings of loss , large or small, in our life, we become disconnected from ourselves and others. Global, environmental, relationship, employment, identity stress and losses within these places bring feeling of isolation and sadness, anger and anxiety. When we recognize and support ourselves to return home to ourself, our life has more wellbeing of mind, body adn spirit .
I work from an office in Haslemere which is not handicap accessible, outdoors locally and online.
You are welcome to contact me for further information.
I look forward to the opportunity to meet you.
My first session
In our first session I will ask you to share your therapy goals and desired outcomes from therapy, previous therapy experiences and anything which you found effective (or not), our contract working together so you are clear on what to expect from therapy and how we will work together ( approach to therapy, short term, longer term, indoors, outdoors).
We will set an agreed time period to review how you feel therapy is progressing, and discuss how to end therapy.
Our session will be booked for 60 minutes unless otherwise agreed. 24 Hour cancellation policy.
