About me and my therapy practice
I believe that we seek therapy when something within us is searching for answers or calling for change in how we experience life. I trust that our work together exploring the issues you are facing will help you uncover possibilities and new paths towards the change or serenity that you desire. Having personally experienced the transformational effects of psychotherapy, I feel privileged to facilitate this journey for my clients.
I focus on creating a space where you feel able to put down your mask and always be your authentic self completely, so that we can develop a genuine therapeutic relationship with one another. I will listen to you without judgement, whilst sensitively offering insights that should help you gain deeper understanding of how you navigate the world. I have found in my work that enhanced self-knowledge often creates a foundation for change.
I acknowledge the universality of human nature, yet appreciate the uniqueness of the human experience. My personalized approach to psychotherapy puts you at the heart of the process. Your values and what shapes those values are important to you, so they matter to me too – whether it is your personal experiences, culture, spirituality or religion, race, sexuality, family or ambitions. My goal is to help you within a framework that is compatible with who you are and who you want to be.
Practice description
Having trained as an integrative psychotherapist, my work is informed by different theoretical perspectives in psychotherapy, including psychodynamic, existential, humanistic and transpersonal. I see clients in-person or virtually, short-term or long-term.
I have expertise working with a wide range of professionals and entrepreneurs. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for over 20 years in management consulting and as a business advisor in the financial services sector across Europe, US, Africa and Asia and so I have experienced the challenges of a demanding, fast paced business environment. Clients tell me my previous career is reflected in my ability to adequately understand their pressured work environments and effectively help them navigate emotional strain caused by professional and work-life difficulties; like career burn-out, stagnation, work stress, workplace conflicts, workplace bullying, employment termination and redundancy.
I also have academic research insight and specialised skills in providing counselling and psychotherapy across cultures.
Qualifications:
MA Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling – Regents University, London
CoE Psychology – Birkbeck University, London
MBA – University of Leeds
