About me and my therapy practice

Life is challenging and without support it can easily become overwhelming. I won't blind you with science but I will listen, support and help you to explore why you might be feeling as you do, building a relationship where you will feel safe & heard.

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor, working with adults and young people aged 17yrs and over. I work with issues such as, but not limited to, self-harm, thoughts of suicide, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, feeling sad, panic attacks and low self-esteem.

I will help you to explore your feelings, beliefs and behaviours, increasing your self-awareness and helping you to make sense of your experiences.

I will treat you as the expert on yourself, without judgement, no matter what you bring to the sessions, building a trusting relationship in which you can feel supported to disclose whatever is troubling you.

Initially I offer a complimentary 15 minute chat to give us both the opportunity to meet and for you to decide if you would like to work with me, before investing any money.

If you would like to go ahead with sessions after our chat, the next step is to book an assessment, this lasts approximately 60 minutes and costs £60.

Following the assessment we will agree a suitable day/time for your counselling sessions, each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £55. There is sometimes an option to have longer sessions should you require them, 75 mins £80.

I am happy to offer weekly or fortnightly sessions, moving to monthly or ad hoc sessions as and when you feel that it is right for you. The number of sessions that you have is entirely up to you.

If you would like any further information or to arrange a chat please send me an email and I will contact you to arrange a suitable day/time.

Practice description

I work within my own private practice, offering online video sessions via Zoom, WhatsApp Video and Skype, or by telephone and I would be happy to discuss these options with you.

My service is not time-limited, and you can have as many or as few sessions as you feel is right for you, ensuring that you are in control of your counselling at all times. I am committed to offering a professional service, treating all clients with respect and without prejudice.

Previously, I have 15 years experience of working for the Ambulance Service, and have had the privilege of supporting people during some of life's most traumatic moments. This is what led me to becoming a counsellor and I am passionate about supporting my clients' mental health.

I regularly attend professional development courses to extend my knowledge and to ensure that I am working in the best way possible.
