About me and my therapy practice
Life can be messy, can’t it? Whether it’s navigating relationships, battling anxiety, trauma, or just trying to figure out what you’re doing, I’m here to help you untangle the chaos
I know that reaching out for help isn’t easy. Whether you’re here because life threw you a curveball, or you just feel stuck in a rut you can’t seem to climb out of, you’re in the right place. Therapy is your time to vent, reflect, and grow (and occasionally laugh at life’s absurdities).
I work with people from all walks of life—it might be you’re juggling work stress, dealing with heartbreak, struggling with anxiety or depression, or asking yourself big life questions like, “What am I even doing?” or “how did I get here?” we’ll figure it out together. No problem is too big, too small, or too weird for this space.
No fluff, no judgment and as few “how does that make you feel?” as possible—just a safe space where you can vent, cry, laugh, and maybe even swear a little.
Practice description
In counselling, I hope to support you to explore your thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour so that you develop more self-awareness and become closer to your true self, resulting in a shift from disconnect and anxiety to connection and an increased sense of self-worth. I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor and also a counselling tutor.
My first session
First sessions: We’ll start with some small talk to ease in—nothing too intense. I’ll explain a bit about how therapy works: confidentiality, how sessions usually flow, and what kind of support I can offer. It’s also your chance to ask any burning questions like, “What if I cry the whole time?” (Spoiler: totally fine!)
No pressure, but this is your time to share whatever feels important. Whether it’s a big life event, a vague sense of “blah,” or just “I don’t even know why I’m here,” we’ll start piecing together what’s on your mind. You don’t need a polished narrative—this isn’t an interview.
I’ll ask some gentle questions to get a sense of who you are, what’s been going on, and what you hope to get out of therapy.
By the end of the session, we’ll have a rough idea of where we’re headed. It’s not set in stone (life rarely is), but it gives us a direction. You’ll leave with a better sense of what therapy with me looks like and maybe even a small, manageable takeaway to start with
And if you’re worried about saying too much, too little, or just feeling weird? That’s part of the process, and I’ve got you. First sessions are about connection, not perfection. You don’t have to have it all figured out—that’s what we’re here to work on.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor and also a counselling tutor. I have experience of working both with adults on a one-to-one basis and children within schools.
As a counsellor, I have helped clients with issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement and relationships. I pride myself on my down-to-earth, honest and empathic approach.
I strongly believe in the value of therapy and the power it can give an individual in building a more present, meaningful existence.
Practice description

To begin with I offer a free initial consultation. This first session gives you the opportunity to find out more about the counselling process and how it might be to work with me.
Feeling comfortable with your therapist is an important part of the process, and so we can discuss what approach you would like to take and the level of challenge you might be looking for/comfortable with.
