About me and my therapy practice

I'm glad you're seeking the support you need. Taking the first step to improve your mental health and well-being is often the most difficult but the most important.

You are here because some or all aspects of your life may feel overwhelming. You might be struggling to cope with everyday life, and some things are causing you concern that you don't fully understand. You may be wondering if I can help. Whether you've had therapy before or if this is your first time seeking help, I'm glad you're here, and I hope I can provide the support you need.

I have been working as a psychotherapist for the past 11 years, helping individuals, couples, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds through various challenges such as anxiety, sadness, stress, burnout, loss, low self-esteem, day-to-day struggles, personal growth, premarital issues, relationship or family issues, health-related concerns, career-related hurdles, changes in life stages, and parenting.

Please feel free to contact me to schedule your first session and discuss your struggles, fears, and expectations.

Practice description

We will explore your past experiences, patterns, and relationships during our sessions. Together, we will focus on developing improved coping strategies and communication, connecting with your life goals and values, and learning new ways of addressing the underlying issues rather than just the symptoms because everyone has unique responses to situations.

Sometimes, our thoughts may feel like tangled wires that are difficult to unravel. By untangling the "wires" of your mind, understanding specific situations, and focusing on personal growth and healing, you will be able to move forward and create positive changes.

As a therapist, I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming space where you can freely discuss your feelings, address your concerns, sort through your thoughts, and discover a path forward.

Fees

Weekly sessions start at:

£75 for individuals

£100 for couples

£110 for families

I have a limited number of appointments available for those on low income.

My first session

I can offer a 15-minute initial online or phone consultation before our first therapy session to better understand your needs and offer optimal support. We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and how I can better support you.

It's common to feel anxious when meeting with a therapist for the first time, but there's no need to worry. As a therapist and human being, I understand that it can be a difficult decision to make.

During your first session, I will explain how therapy works and discuss confidentiality. We will also review any previous experiences you may have had with therapy and address any questions or concerns you may have. Remember, seeking help is nothing to be ashamed of; taking the first step to improving your mental health is often the most difficult but important one.
