About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced counsellor working with individuals and couples to support them through life’s difficulties.

I work relationally to support you to look at the issues behind the challenges you’re facing in your life, and relationships. Exploring ways to help you question your assumptions, face your blocks, and develop a greater sense of purpose and meaning.

At times, life can be challenging for all of us. Challenges or difficulties can occur through the impact of specific external events and life transitions, changes in key relationships in our life, or the day to day struggles of balancing a demanding work schedule with a harmonious home life. Sometimes we are left feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, anxious, depressed, or have lost meaning and direction in our lives.

My approach is empathetic and non-judgemental, I work with compassionate support but also appropriate challenge to help you explore challenges you may be facing, personally, professionally, and in your key relationships. So that over time you can expect to see the impact in your daily life and in your core relationships.

Some of the reasons you may seek counselling with me may include:

  • Relationship challenges - this may be romantic relationships, friendships, work mates or any other intimate relationships
  • Relationship issues -  challenges with communicating effectively or ongoing conflict, Feelings of distance or stuckness in your relationship
  • Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
  • Depression - low mood, sadness, feelings of despair, loneliness, isolation
  • Low confidence and self esteem
  • Challenges with identity and purpose, & meaning
  • Damaging coping mechanisms - addiction, self-harm, damaging eating behaviours, and anger management issues
  • Loss, illness, and bereavement
  • Family challenges - family issues, starting or expanding a family, marriage, conflict management
  • Pressures and challenges at work - low self-esteem and imposter syndrome, career transitions, over-ambition, dissatisfaction and loss of meaning
