I offer both online (Zoom) and face-to-face sessions in N4
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and professionally trained psychotherapist working online and face-to-face in N4 and E17.
I have a background in NHS Mental Health Services, having worked as a therapist based in GP practices, as well as working with a variety of people in private practice. During my time in the NHS, I worked with a very wide and diverse range of people of all ages, from all backgrounds and walks of life, with a huge range of difficulties and issues from anxiety, depression, and trauma, to difficulties with relationships with others.
On my website (www.talkingcuretherapy.com), you can read more about me, my background, and the way I work, as well as more information about what therapy is, and how the process works in the FAQ and articles section (www.talkingcuretherapy.com/faqs). Therapy is more than simply sitting and talking about your problems once a week. What may appear like ‘just talking’ is much more than that. Therapists are trained to help someone actively work through and process experiences, helping someone to learn new ways of coping. I work in a way that draws on a range of different therapy techniques that best suit the individual needs of each person I am working with.
Online therapy:
Many people now prefer online therapy. It can often be more cost effective, more convenient, and time saving. I have specifically undertaken further training to work online - which can be a bit different from having in-person sessions. We know that online therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions, but there are certain considerations to bear in mind. You can read more about having online therapy at: www.talkingcuretherapy.com/online
Practice description
Online: I offer lower-priced online (Zoom) sessions at £65 per hour
Face-to-face daytime: From £75 to £85 per hour
Evening: From £90 - £110 per hour
Initial sessions: £25, with no obligation to continue.
Health Insurance: I work through AXA, Aviva, and WPA. Please state when you contact me if you are coming through an insurance company. Please check your policy for the total amount of coverage you can have reimbursed and for the duration of sessions that will be offered on your policy (some policies only cover time-limited, short-term therapy).

An initial session is for you to tell me a bit about yourself, for you to ask any questions you might have, and for us to see if you would want to work together.
