About me and my therapy practice
Hi there...
How are you today?
Sometimes there are too many words and sometimes there are no words. Sometimes it’s just a feeling on the inside or a weight on the outside. Or maybe it is more identifiable for you... Whatever it feels like for you, I'm here for you and I'm ready to listen and you will be heard. Therapy here can provide you with the time, space, and opportunity to work through whatever you need. Although therapy can sometimes be a painful and difficult process, therapy can help you regain control and enjoy life.
My name is Coral, and I am a neurodivergent person and qualified Person-Centred therapist. I am in my late 20's and I qualified as a therapist with Distinction in June 2020 after first having studied a Philosophy BA receiving a 2:1.
Being Person-Centred and coming from a philosophical background, I am trained in a way that focuses on you and your needs and we (you and I together), undertake therapy at your pace and in your world. Being neurodivergent myself (I have ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia), I have a special interest and understanding in working with other neurodivergent people - although I am open to working with all kinds of clients.
There is no judgement or agenda here, this is a space for you to just be. The space is non-directive and we can work in any way that works for you (e.g. with art materials, games, music), you can even attend in pyjamas and not say a single word if that's what you need. And in that space, we can work together through your emotions, thoughts, and feelings to help you explore, reflect, accept, and grow. In doing so, this can bring understanding, self-awareness, clarity, acceptance, and motivation to your life. After all, this is your life, no one else's and you deserve to live it free from the expectations of others and knowing you are enough - (it's true, you really are enough)!
Explore, Reflect, Accept & Grow
Practice description
I run an online and telephone counselling practice and I am open to working with all types of clients. I practice in the Person-Centred Approach and have further experience in art and play therapy.
I have a special interest in working with neurodivergent people, young people, and older people but I am open to working with all kinds of people.
Training & Qualifications:
I am a fully qualified Person-Centred counsellor.
I hold a Higher Professional Diploma (HPD) in Person-Centred Counselling from a BACP Accredited course. I was also awarded special achievement for being 'Top of the Class’ for the year of graduating.
I have a special interest, additional training, and lived experience of neurodivergency however I am not an expert. My ethos when working with neurodivergence is to explore and accept your neurodivergence and self-worth, find and nourish your strengths, and develop any coping mechanisms you may need for living in a neurotypical world.
I have further training in Online and Telephone Counselling, Working with Neurodivergent Clients, Substance Misuse, Working Creatively, Trauma, Understanding Suicide and Working with Young People.
I am insured, registered, and use encrypted email software.
I also hold a BA Philosophy degree and a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, both of which informs my practice when working creatively or dealing with existential issues.
I run my private practice Coral Sabrina Therapy, and I also work for Randstad as an online Mental Health Student Support Mentor. I have experience with all kinds of clients including adults, young people, older people, and neurodivergent people.
My first session
Standard fees are £60 for a 50-minute session.
I offer reduced rates for those in need - please contact me for further details.
If you would like to find out more about me, my work and what I can do for you then please get in touch.
I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation via video call or telephone.
During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to hear more about the way in which I work, ask any questions and get a feel of what our work together would look like.
During the first session, I will go through some questions with you about your background, your current situation and your issues. This helps me work out how I can best support you. Of course, if there is anything you do not wish to answer you do not have to.
Feel free to contact me to arrange this, I would love to hear from you.
Thank you and have a lovely day :-)
