About me and my therapy practice
I believe we all have the ability to change, if you have the desire to change, it is possible. Sometimes we just need someone to believe in us and help us to achieve that change.
I am a BSc Hons (Addiction Studies), BACP registered, Person-Centred Counsellor. I see clients face to face in a relaxed, confidential space, near public transport, also provide telephone, and online counselling. I am an experienced counsellor for substance misuse, alcohol misuse and drugs, helping clients to facilitate change in their lifestyles to address & alter established patterns and behaviours. Together, we look at relapse prevention, triggers, and managing stressful situations to build strength and resilience to empower clients.
I also work with survivors of suicide to be able to take time to reflect on where they are now and what had led them to seek to end their lives.
I work with EAP clients using short term focussed sessions, helping clients work through particular issues currently troubling them. We work together to help find a solution, usually to a particular problem.
Practice description
I am non-judgemental, genuine, and empathic, I provide a safe, confidential space for clients to explore their issues. I work with those experiencing substance misuse (drugs and alcohol), sexual abuse, bereavement, and suicidal ideation. I also work with anxiety, depression, and many other issues. I work with clients to find a path to greater happiness and contentment.
I am available for face-to-face, phone, and online sessions.
