About me and my therapy practice
Life can be difficult and confusing, and we can all experience times of struggle. A myriad of reasons may have brought you to here today such as a specific event like divorce or bereavement, or a more general sense of anxiety, anger, guilt or sadness. You may feel that your coping mechanisms and patterns of behaviour are no longer working for you or you may be experiencing health concerns such as panic attacks, insomnia, long-term illness.
Whether you are feeling desperate or just have a small, niggling feeling that life could be better, I aim to provide a relaxed, confidential space in which to explore what is on your mind with someone supportive and non-judgemental.
I have an Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy from Regents University London. I am a registered member of the BACP as well as the UKCP. I have several years’ experience and currently split my time between NHS work, private practice and lecturing in psychotherapy.
I believe that moods of sadness, anxiety, depression, anger tell us something important about who we are and what is important to us. Allowing space in therapy to acknowledge and explore all of our feelings and experiences often helps things to shift and change. I aim to support you in discovering for yourself what matters to you, what you would like to be different and how to move forward in your life.

In this space we can reflect on and explore patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are making life difficult. But also, where feelings can just emerge without the need for explanations or justifications.
