About me and my therapy practice
We all have times in our lives where we find it difficult to cope with our thoughts, feelings and emotions for a variety of reasons. When this happens it can be helpful to speak to someone to try and make sense of it all.
I am a qualified Integrative Relational Psychotherapist offering a warm, non-judgemental, safe, confidential and professional psychological therapy service for couples and individual clients.
I believe that mutually satisfying relationships with others are necessary for our emotional wellbeing. I always offer clients the space to express their feelings and to gain a deeper insight into their experiences.
Short term and longer term face to face or online therapy is available. What may be appropriate for you depends on the depth and complexity of what has led you to therapy.
My practice is informed by integrating different psychotherapy theories and techniques depending on what might best suit your individual needs.
I work with a broad range of clients (couples and individuals) on issues including:
Anxiety, Bereavement, Race and Culture, Depression, Health issues, Identity, Loss, Relationships, Family, Care responsibilities, Self Esteem, Work/Study concerns, Sexuality, Trauma, Gender.
I have experience of working with clients at mental health charity Mind as well as community based and national Wellbeing Organisations.
Outside of my clinical practice I am a qualified, experienced trainer - delivering mental health awareness programmes. I am also the founder and host of an annual (West Yorkshire based) Wellbeing conference.
As a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) I work to their Code of Ethics.
I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation before booking clients in for an initial session.
