About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Counsellor, Registered BACP member and work within their ethical guidelines.
I work with young people (16+) and adults who are experiencing a range of issues including relational difficulties, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, loss, and difficulties associated with confidence and self-esteem. Therapy with me will provide a safe and confidential space, where together, we will explore the difficulties you are experiencing and work towards your desired outcomes.
Life can sometimes be challenging with its setbacks, traumas and tragedies, and these can impact us in many ways. The decision to seek and begin a counselling journey can also feel like a daunting experience. I can support you, to feel at ease, by providing a warm, non-judgemental and supportive space where you feel accepted and heard. We will work together to safely explore the aspects of your life you choose to work on.
My area of expertise is supporting survivors of domestic/sexual abuse and violence across diverse backgrounds and communities. I have gained valuable experience and have supported clients towards better mental, emotional and physical well-being whilst counselling for culturally diverse women safe spaces, counselling organisations, EAP's as well as in private practice. I deeply respect and value diversity, and I am committed to empowering both myself and others.

Practice description
I provide my clients with an authentic therapeutic space that is unique to them and their individual needs by integrating various counselling approaches and techniques and drawing on my training and experience. Most importantly building a good therapeutic relationship with my clients based on trust and mutual respect is key to my practice.
My approach is to work alongside you to guide you to a better understanding of your situation, this may include exploring how past events are impacting you in the present as well as helping you to develop useful coping strategies to manage thoughts, feelings or behaviours.
I will work collaboratively with you, by agreeing how we will work together, by respecting your right to make your own decisions and empowering you to safely explore aspects of your life, past or present at your own pace.
My first session
I believe it's really important that you find a therapist that you feel comfortable talking to, so I offer a free 15-minute no-obligation telephone consultation which is an opportunity for you to explore your expectations of counselling and ask any questions you may have.
Please use the contact form to get in touch with me, we can then arrange a mutually convenient time to discuss your expectations.
