About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or panic attacks? Perhaps you're struggling with grief or feeling lost. It’s okay to seek help, and I’m here to support you on your journey to wellness.

My name is Nic, and I am a highly qualified integrative therapist with extensive experience in helping clients navigate their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. With a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals in achieving mental well-being.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of assisting many clients who are often seeking therapy for the first time, sometimes encouraged by a loved one. I understand how daunting it can be to take that first step, and I am here to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your feelings and experiences.

If you’re reading this and feel a spark of recognition or a glimmer of hope, I encourage you to take the next brave step. Contact me to arrange your free introductory call. Together, we can navigate the path to your mental well-being.

Practice description

My approach to therapy is integrative and tailored, drawing from person-centred therapy (PCT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). Together, we’ll identify and change unhelpful patterns of emotions, thoughts, and behaviours in a way that suits your unique needs.

You can expect a collaborative, supportive environment where your voice is at the heart of our work. My aim is to empower you to make meaningful changes that enhance your mental well-being and personal fulfilment.

Sessions take place in a private, comfortable consulting room in Guildford, offering a serene and confidential space with roadside parking. For added flexibility, I also provide online therapy sessions, so you can access support from home.

I bring extensive experience from both NHS and private practice settings, equipping me with a deep understanding of diverse mental health challenges. My qualifications include a Degree in Psychology, a Master’s in Psychotherapy, and Postgraduate Diplomas in Counselling and Behavioural Therapy. I am a BACP-accredited therapist, a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society, and a member of the Society for Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (SfDBT), adhering to their high ethical standards.

Availability

I currently have availability for new clients and will do my best to offer a regular time that suits your schedule. I offer both face-to-face sessions in Surrey and online sessions via Zoom.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday, including some evening slots. I aim to respond to all enquiries within one working day.

If you're considering therapy and want to check availability or ask any questions, you're very welcome to get in touch. I also offer a free 15-minute phone call to explore whether working together feels like a good fit.

I’ll update this section if I plan to take any extended leave or if my availability changes significantly.

About me and my therapy practice

Feeling stuck, anxious, low, or unsure where to start? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I’m Nic, a pragmatic, dual-accredited therapist offering private, face-to-face sessions from a quiet garden studio in Surrey, with flexible online therapy also available via Zoom.

I specialise in helping adults with anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, low self-esteem, trauma, obsessive thoughts, and being overwhelmed emotionally—whether for the first time or something that keeps returning. Many of the people I work with are new to therapy, unsure what to expect, or wondering if their struggles are “serious enough” for counselling. Whether it’s a sudden crisis or something that’s been building over time, therapy can help create breathing space—and a way forward.

Sessions are grounded, structured, and shaped around your individual needs. I combine person-centred therapy with evidence-based tools from CBT and DBT—balancing reflective space with practical strategies. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on and begin to build the skills and self-understanding to help you move forward.

I’m accredited by both BACP and SfDBT, with a Master's in Psychotherapy, a degree in Psychology, and postgraduate diplomas in counselling and behavioural therapy. My practice has been formally reviewed and approved by senior clinicians, and I also bring hospital-level experience from my work in clinical mental health services.

Many of my clients are first-time therapy seekers—sometimes encouraged by a partner or GP, other times reaching out after months of pushing through. I aim to make those first steps feel less daunting by offering a steady, compassionate space where nothing is too small or too much to bring into the room.

Therapy with me is collaborative, not clinical. It’s about making sense of what’s happening in a way that feels clear and human, so you can begin to feel more in control—and more like yourself again.

Practice description

I offer private, face-to-face therapy in a quiet, self-contained garden studio in Surrey, with flexible Zoom sessions also available for those who prefer online support. The space is calm, private, and purpose-built for focused, uninterrupted work—with curb-side parking for added ease and discretion.

I work with adults (18+) experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, trauma, and stress, including those feeling overwhelmed emotionally or stuck in repeating patterns. Many of my clients are new to therapy, uncertain whether their issues are “serious enough” to seek support. If that sounds familiar, you're not alone—and therapy can still help.

My practice is grounded, structured, and collaborative. I draw from person-centred therapy, CBT, and DBT-informed tools—balancing space to reflect with evidence-based strategies for change. I’m dual-accredited and have experience across both private and clinical mental health settings, supporting individuals with a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

You don’t need to have the right words or a clear goal. We begin wherever you are and work at a pace that feels manageable and human. My aim is to support you in finding steadier ground, improving emotional regulation, and regaining a sense of clarity, confidence, and control.

Whether you're navigating life transitions, burnout, panic attacks, or the ripple effects of trauma, we’ll work together to understand what’s happening and create a way forward that works for you.
