About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Sarah, a passionate and highly empathic Person-Centred counsellor, also trained in Rewind Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I have extensive experience working with adults and young people presenting with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, PTSD, traumatic bereavement, grief, loss, abuse, relationship issues and low self-esteem. I understand that counselling is not a one-size fits all approach and that every person and their experience is unique to them, therefore tailoring my approach to achieve the best outcome for each individual.
Being Trauma Informed, I understand the impact of Trauma and PTSD, and have specifically worked with adults and young people who have experienced ACE’s (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and those who were affected by acts of terrorism throughout the world including the 2017 Manchester Arena attack.
I have also worked with adults who were suddenly bereaved (traumatic bereavement) due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
I believe that every person has the power within to heal themselves and positively grow from their experiences to live fulfilling life; given the right environment and support to do so. I am here to help support, empower and provide you with the tools to do just that.
If you are ready to take some small steps towards actively healing and bring about positive change to your life, I would love to hear from you.
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you". - Maya Angelou
