About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Christie, a warm and experienced psychotherapist trained in a variety of modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT and mindfulness. Using the most suitable approach(es), I will work with you to reduce the suffering and struggle in your life so that you can focus on what matters.
By looking for a therapist you have already taken the first step in what can seem a daunting process. I provide a calm, safe and non-judgemental space to explore what’s going on for you and support you through difficult times with genuineness and respect.
Practice description
My aim is to help clients understand their problems and make meaningful changes. This could be moving forward after a challenging experience, learning skills to overcome current obstacles, changing unhelpful patterns or gaining a better understanding of yourself.
I work integratively, which means I draw on a range of approaches depending on what works best for you and the issues you would like to address. You might have a good awareness of what you would like help with and have specific goals we can work towards in a structured, collaborative way. Alternatively, you might be looking for a safe and confidential space to talk without fear of criticism and make sense of your experiences. I will listen with respect and without judgement.
