About me and my therapy practice
It's daunting isn't it, trying to find the right counsellor for what you need, I can imagine as I have been there myself. This is why I initially decided to train as a counsellor after the experience I had and how life changing it can be. Reaching out for support can be a big step, but the right one at that.
Sometimes in life we just feel lost. For whatever reason you are here, my belief is that by developing a trusting, non-judgemental, safe relationship, we can work through it together.
My goal is to help you understand yourself and how you operate. When we understand the 'Why?' we can then look at the 'What now?'.
Practice description
The foundation of what I offer is Person-Centred therapy, with CBT and Psychodynamic interventions. My belief is that many people listen to our problems, but not many actually hear what we are trying to say. Counselling offers the chance to just be you, without judgement or advice, in a safe, equal and accepting environment.
When we start to feel accepted and heard, we then start to understand and listen to ourselves rather than the (sometimes loud) opinions of those around us. I believe we all hold the tools to be able to navigate our way through life's difficulties, sometimes we just need to be heard and valued to do this.
Counselling can be face to face or via telephone, and these are both 60 minute sessions. I do no offer online therapy.
My first session
A free 15 minute discussion via telephone to discuss your needs, hear each others voice's and answer any questions you may have.
If you wish to go ahead, an initial appointment will then be made to start on this journey together. I will offer a contract via email before the session which will enable you to see what I can and can not offer.

Practice description
There are many reasons to do a counselling skills course and I am sure you will have your own reason - maybe you have experienced therapy and thought "I'd love to do that!". Or, you are in a role and often find yourself stuck on how to respond when people speak about how they feel or their situation. Maybe you just want to learn more about yourself and others on a deeper level.
Whatever your reason, our courses are life changing!
We run the courses in September and February, for 18 weeks, 5 hours per week. This is a face to face course and not online.
For further information, head over to our website and we hope to see you soon!
*This is a paid course, not government funded. If you are currently on universal credit, they may offer help towards the costs of the course.
