About me and my therapy practice
“Have no fear.” — Françoise Dolto
I provide a safe and welcoming environment for my patients. With a degree in Economics, I started my career as a sales executive in a large corporation. Though the fast-paced work environment had its advantages, it didn't feel right for me. I returned to school to receive two degrees, one in psychoanalysis and the other in child psychoanalysis. Since 2009, I’ve been a practising psychoanalyst working with adults and expanded my practice in 2015 to include working with children. In 2021, I obtained an additional Master's degree in Psychoanalytic Studies from Birkbeck University.
Practice description
I’m a psychoanalyst working with adults, children, couples, families and schools. I'm able to work on a multi-disciplinary team with your existing support system to make sure you have an holistic treatment plan. Though I generally work on a long-term basis, I will take on short-term commitments on a need basis. I offer both online sessions via Zoom and sessions in person.
A tenet of psychoanalysis is the belief in the existence of the unconscious mind. No matter how conscious we are about desires, sometimes we find ourselves acting in the exact opposite direction. Psychoanalysis aims to unravel the unconscious forces at play in our actions and investigate the constitution of our subjectivity. Sessions are structured around free speech to uncover the unconscious forces at work.
