About me and my therapy practice
Introduction
Welcome to my profile, my name is Tam, I have a wealth of experience of working with all problems with Anxiety being my specialist area. If you would like to have a read below and then get in touch for a free 20-minute consultation where you will get a more natural and warmer sense of who I am and how I can help you.
I completely understand that life can feel overwhelming with anxieties or a lack of drive and self-worth that can control and take over our way of living. This can create a sense of being hopelessly stuck with these dominating problems, such as anxiety, panic attacks, anger, stress, low self-esteem, depression etc. You may even feel alone and disconnected from family and other relationships, or maybe you feel exhausted but can’t sleep because of those anxious thoughts that keep looping through your mind.
I help you to use the courage and wisdom that you have within you, to unravel and make connections from past events to current behaviours and thinking. To have a clearer understanding of why things are the way they are and how they're not your fault, to gently build your confidence, re-balance your emotion system and make positive life changes so that you can regain control and find happiness. I work wholeheartedly with compassion and kindness, putting your well being at the very centre so that you will feel supported in a non-judgemental confidential and safe space.
My qualifications and experience.
I'm in private practice for both adults and teenagers as well as working with the NHS youth counselling service in the GP surgery. I work with all problems such as anxiety, depression, anger, abuse, panic, low confidence, low mood etc, but with anxiety being my specialised area. I am an approved anxiety UK therapist and I have also worked in schools for many years as a pastoral mentor and counsellor.

My name is Tam and Anxiety is my specialised area, having helped many people over the years to understand manage and overcome their anxiety and panic attacks.
Do you suffer from anxiety? Does it take over your life? Do your problems feel overwhelming?
Life's problems can sometimes feel overwhelming, with anxieties that can really impact our lives. You might avoid doing things that make you feel anxious and you can probably relate when I say does anxiety send you into mind loops of "what if's" or "should of's" creating more anxiety and panic. Or the inner critic that makes you feel not good enough, which then develops into low self-esteem and low mood.
Together we will work to rebuild the courage and confidence that you have within you and take control of your anxiety and any other problems. To gently rebalance your emotional system and make positive life changes. We might look at past events and different stages of your life that have impacted and influenced how you think, feel and behave in today's world. You will have a much clearer understanding of why things are the way they are and how they're not your fault. We will work on your strengths and how you can use these more in different areas of your life.
