About me and my therapy practice
I’m a specialised relationships counsellor and I work with couples, family members and individuals who are worried about any kind of relationship.
This can include family issues, couples counselling and supporting individuals.
Possibly there's a feeling of growing apart, feeling isolated and unheard and losing the ability to communicate. Maybe there are silences between you, or circular arguments, or there’s been an affair, maybe not.
Maybe you are feeling anxious or depressed about how it is between you. Everyone’s experience is different.
By helping you to find new ways to hear and be heard, you can discover what you need emotionally and you can change the pain and disconnection of isolation. I can help you to do this and then to work together towards a solution that’s right for you.
By finding ways to re-establish emotional connection and mutual understanding it can be possible to re-set the pattern of your relationship and restore closeness and that sense of belonging.
I offer flexible appointment times including evenings. Face to face sessions are available from my Mole Valley location in Surrey or alternatively, via online sessions.
You may feel unsure whether counselling can help you and about what it would involve. To help you to explore your options, and to give you a feel for what it would be like to work with me, I offer a free, initial 15 minute telephone conversation.
This is a no-obligation session that lets me find out more about what your difficulties are and what you would like to get from counselling, and you find out whether you would feel comfortable working with me. Please phone 07375 293 075 or contact me through my website if you'd like to discuss.
Practice description
I trained specifically as a relationships counsellor, and subsequently worked for Relationships Scotland and for Relate, UK with couples and individuals over the age of 18. Now I focus on private practice as this allows for more flexibility with the timing and frequency of sessions.
Relationships counselling can help couples, family members and individuals with a variety of relationships issues. I also work with anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss of many kinds. My approach is to be open to all of these aspects of life and how they affect our relationships. I offer personal warmth to create a feeling of acceptance and safety in our sessions.
As a registered member of BACP I want to enable you to feel listened to and understood. This safe, impartial and non-judgmental time allows you to work through problems with my support.
I am trained in coaching as well as counselling and if you are interested in what coaching or counselling can offer you and your situation, please let me know by text or email and we can speak about how I can help.
