About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Caroline, a BACP-accredited counsellor deeply committed to supporting women and their emotional well-being.
I have been active in the mental health field since 2015, and now an accredited psychotherapist for several years.
In being here now, you’re likely experiencing some form of emotional distress and wondering if I can help. Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you’ve tried before without finding the right fit, I want you to know that I’m glad you’ve found your way here.
I’m experienced in working with women and…
ADHD | Anxiety | Cancer | Burn out | Depression | Divorce | Domestic abuse | Fertility challenges | Life transitions | Menopause | Midlife issues | Motherhood | Perinatal issues | Relationships | Spiritual exploration | Being childless
Women often juggle complex roles and expectations, and life’s challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, can’t they? You don’t have to face them alone. I’m here to help you make sense of your world, no matter how complicated or messy it may feel.
Together, we can navigate what you’re going through and work towards meaningful change. I believe something truly special can happen when we build a therapeutic relationship rooted in safety and honesty. I take a relaxed, authentic approach to helping you understand yourself more, be with your emotions and find meaning in your experiences.
Practice description
Do you often feel overwhelmed, anxious or stressed?
Are you feeling sad or lonely?
Do you experience panic attacks or have low self-esteem?
Perhaps a fear of not being ‘good enough’ is holding you back?
Maybe you've experienced something really difficult and need a safe space to process.
Therapy can be about lots of things, but especially those moments when you start seeing things in a new light - things that might have felt hidden, out of reach or too painful to explore alone. That newfound awareness can open the door to healing and growth.
Person-centred therapy is at the heart of how I work. I specialise in you. I meet you where you are, co-collaborating to explore your needs and goals. I blend evidence-based techniques with a holistic approach to hold sessions that feel as supportive and helpful to you as possible.
My experience includes working within NHS Talking Therapies as a counsellor and NICE-approved PCE-CfD practitioner, a specialised way of working with emotions, depression, and anxiety. Now, in private practice, I provide a compassionate space for self-reflection and personal development, whether in person or online. When appropriate, I'll offer psycho-education to help you understand what you’re experiencing and share practical tools for your day-to-day well-being.
I’m a feminist who believes deeply in the power of equality, connection, and compassion. I approach life and work with curiosity, empathy, and calm. In the therapy room, my passion lies in helping women be with and untangle the complexities of their lives - from ADHD and anxiety to motherhood and menopause. Outside of the therapy space, I embrace spiritual and slow living. I find joy in nature, reading, journaling, yoga, mindfulness, and meditation - practices that help me stay grounded and connected.
My first session
As your therapist, creating a space where you feel seen and truly heard can be immensely valuable - perhaps for the first time. Together, we’ll explore your emotions and experiences so you can build on trusting your feelings, instincts, and choices. It’s a privilege to be considered a part of your journey, helping you nurture your relationship with yourself and feel more at ease in your world.
It’s important to know that counselling can be helpful for everybody – not just those referred by their GP or experiencing severe mental distress.
Working together puts you in control of what you want to explore, when and for how long. Sometimes issues you disclose in session can feel painful yet being with you on your emotional journey, can enable a shared experience, offering an opportunity for greater self-awareness, reflection and potential, positive change.
Considering counselling is a brave step towards helping yourself and committing to your self-development with counselling takes courage. You're welcome to book a FREE 15-minute chat with me via my website to check if we're a good fit and ask any questions you may have. Simply choose a time and day to suit your schedule.
I’m here when you're ready and I look forward to connecting with you more.
