About me and my therapy practice
Person- centred counselling offers, warm, genuine and supportive therapy, giving clients the space and safety to share their concerns, looking at how you feel in yourself regarding what you have come to counselling for.
This approach believes that each and every one of us, is best placed to govern our own lives. It does not try to offer diagnosis or advise, instead offering a safe and confidential place for you to explore your feelings, thoughts, difficulties and anxieties. Enabling you to arrive at your own conclusions. My biggest aim is to offer a non- judgemental space and to truly listen. Therapy can be a powerful step towards trusting our own inner voice and allow us to continue along our individual journeys through life.
Clients within person- centred therapy should expect to find empathy, unconditional positive regard and a congruent client- counsellor relationship. Meaning freedom from fear to explore every aspect of themselves and their life.
Practice description
I currently offer both telephone (£50) and online video sessions (£50), meaning that wherever you live in the world, if you travel a lot for life commitments or work, you can access and continue your journey of therapy without interruption.
In this fast paced world, online and telephone counselling allows clients to access therapy from the comfort of their own office, home or safe space. Allowing us to add counselling more easily into already busy schedules thanks to no extra travel commitments.
My first session
Many of us feel apprehensive when considering therapy, for this reason I like to offer an initial session for a reduced fee of £35 to allow you the space to explore if this is the right time for you to engage with counselling. This first meeting will give you the opportunity to ask any questions, share what it is that has brought you to seek counselling and get a feel for me as a practitioner as it is important that you feel comfortable opening up. This time also allows me to understand what your expectations are of therapy. There is no obligation to continue after this initial session however, if you feel comfortable to proceed, we will explore availability during this session.
