About me and my therapy practice

Life experiences can sometimes take you to a place where you feel overwhelmed and confused and may cause anxiety or depression.  You could feel ashamed or have no sense of who you are and what you want, making it difficult to form decisions or talk to family and friends. This difficulty could result in a feeling of isolation and loneliness. By talking to a qualified counsellor, someone that is impartial can offer you, a first step to positive change.

As a qualified counsellor and BACP Registered member I am passionate about helping people with their personal development.  I treat everyone as unique, working primarily Person-Centred which is a humanistic approach to counselling. This means I will provide a safe environment where you feel accepted and valued and where I will be honest and transparent and see your viewpoint.   I can also integrate other modalities such as Gestalt, CBT, Existential and Psychodynamic therapy, depending on your individual needs and I work with a holistic approach that considers mental, physical, and spiritual factors where appropriate working with the whole person to promote healing and a deeper sense of self in a mindful way.

I have counselling experience working face-to-face with adults and young people in an agency and school setting in the Wokingham and Hampshire area.  Privately, I only work with adults on-line and face-to-face in my own home in Henley-upon-Thames.  This is easy access from Wallingford, Marlow, High Wycombe, Shiplake, Caversham, Reading, Winnersh and Wokingham.  I provide a warm environment that is safe and confidential where, we can explore your concerns in an honest way without judgement.
