I provide therapy either in-person, online/telephone counselling or the optional "walk and talk therapy" along designated safe routes.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified CBT therapist and registered member with the BACP and work with clients on a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, self-esteem and depression, in a confidential and safe environment.
Often without warning, we can feel like we are swimming against the tide and getting nowhere when life's challenges present themselves. Sometimes these moments pass without too much difficulty, yet at other times they stick around for longer than we'd ideally like or seem to repeat at different times.
I really hope to be able explore new strategies and techniques with you that you will give you more resilience going forwards and maybe give you an understanding of what is happening so you can make choices that may benefit you better in the longer term.
In taking a compassionate and non-judgemental approach, we can collaboratively work together to help your present and future self.
Practice description
From 2023, I am able to provide in-person therapy in a purpose built eco space that is both comfortable and private.
Alternatively, working online or by telephone counselling, for some, it can provide the flexibility of being able to access therapy when their busy schedules or family arrangements may have made it difficult or impossible.
I also offer a Walk and Talk therapy service for those closer by that want an alternative style of therapy and prefer being outdoors with nature. These take place along pre-determined routes that are safe.
My first session
It's so important for you to find the right therapist that you feel comfortable with and also one that can help you with your presenting issues. Initially, I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation for you to ask any questions and briefly describe what may be causing you difficulty. It also allows me to explain a little about the way I work principally using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) though also blending in elements from other modalities. My passion is to help people struggling with mental health and hopefully we can work collaboratively together to improve your well-being.
