About me and my therapy practice
I'm Nikki, a professionally trained and qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor offering therapy services to both adults and young people. I work with clients with a range of issues including; stress and anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships and grief.
I am a Person-Centred therapist but like to work in a way that suits the individual and their needs. This may involve looking at the how the issue makes the person feel in the 'here and now' or exploring past experiences that may affect current thinking and behaviour.
I offer sessions solely online via Zoom.
Practice description
There are inevitably times in our lives that are problematic and we may find we feel less than equipped to deal with the challenges we are presented with. Though this is common to most of us, it is not uncommon to feel quite alone and unsure where to turn at such times. You may be reading this as you face a particular issue, dilemma or situation you can readily identify that you know is the cause of your worry or distress. Perhaps you are suffering with intrusive thoughts or negative thinking patterns and difficult feelings that are impacting on your emotional wellbeing. Whatever your situation, we can explore it together, and agree how we might work to find the best way forward for you.
Counselling offers a positive intervention that can be both rewarding and satisfying at times in our life when we most need it. Having the right support can help us gain a wider perspective on our difficulties, this clarity can often help us begin to feel better quite quickly.
I have specialist training in grief and loss through my work as a Bereavement Volunteer and Supervisor for Cruse Bereavement Support, providing emotional support to anyone who has experienced loss through the death of a loved one.
Additionally, I teach counselling skills at a Further Education College supporting students to gain their qualifications. I also teach on an Awareness of Mental Health course which I find links well with my counselling practice.
My first session
I offer a free 30-minute, no obligation initial session which can take place online or over the telephone. During this time, we can talk through what you wish to get out of your therapy sessions and answer any questions that you may have. I will also take the opportunity to outline the way we can work together so you feel totally reassured about the process.
My fees after that are:
£50 per 50-minute session
£35 per 50-minute session for counsellors-in-training
Please contact me for further information and to book your first session. Please note that I offer sessions solely online via Zoom.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a L6 qualified, Person-Centred supervisor offering support to counsellors and counsellors-in-training on a one-to-one basis. By utilising my background in training and development, I have built a niche supporting student counsellors through their clinical placements. I do this by providing top-up supervision and also personal therapy. I work to both the BACP and NCPS ethical guidelines and believe robust supervision is vital for the development of all therapeutic relationships.
