About me and my therapy practice
Therapist- Noun
"Someone who joins you in the darkness with a light to help you find your way out."
Welcome,
Firstly, well done for taking the initial step in to your counselling journey.
I offer confidential counselling, allowing therapy to be interactive, creative and client centered. As a trained therapist, I am skilled in helping you to explore and process difficult subjects in a safe environment.
I foster my practice on ensuring that a positive therapeutic relationship is the first step to success. My approach is Integrative, combining Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT and Compassion Focused approaches.
I have experience of working with a wide range of mental health challenges. I initially trained at Headway- Brain Injury Rehabilitation, providing counselling therapy for complex Trauma and the complexities of head injury. Then went on to be a School Counsellor supporting vulnerable young people. Most recently, I have been therapist to the Metropolitan Police Force.
I am very very passionate about the work I do, the people I meet and the stories shared. Helping to improve someone’s mental health and all the components that go with is very fulfilling.
I have obtained my Msc in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Derby and I am both a registered and accredited member of the BACP.
