About me and my therapy practice

I am a registered psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with extensive experience in client work, professional supervision and higher education. Over the years, I have supported a wide range of clients, supervised both qualified counsellors and trainees, and contributed to the professional development of others through lectures, seminars, workshops, and curriculum design.

My therapeutic practice is grounded in an integrative-relational model, where I aim to take a holistic approach to each client’s unique story. I believe that empathic listening, combined with a foundation of trust and mutual respect, forms the cornerstone of an effective and healing therapeutic relationship.

As a clinical supervisor, I draw upon the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet, 2006), with a focus on both the supervision process and the ongoing development of the supervisee. I offer a supportive, reflective space for practitioners to explore their work, deepen self-awareness and grow in confidence and competence.

In addition to my therapeutic and supervisory work, I am involved in teaching and curriculum development across counselling and psychology programmes at both Diploma and Degree levels. My teaching philosophy is shaped by guided inter-dependent learning, where I encourage critical thinking, investigative skills, and the integration of theory with practice.

Whether you are a client seeking therapeutic support, a professional looking for supervision, or a student developing your skills—I aim to provide a safe, collaborative, and enriching space to support your journey.

Practice description

I offer counselling, supervision and training sessions, both online and face-to-face, depending on what we agree works best for you. Sessions are booked in advance and last 45–50 minutes.

My approach is integrative and relational, meaning I tailor the work to your individual needs while drawing from a range of psychological theories. I aim to provide a safe, respectful and reflective space where we can explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours at your own pace. Whether you're seeking support for emotional wellbeing, professional supervision or development through training, I work collaboratively to meet your goals.

Please note: I have limited availability for new clients. My current session times are:

Monday: 3:30–5:30 PM

Wednesday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM / 6:00–9:00 PM

Friday: 4:00–9:00 PM

Feel free to get in touch for more information or to arrange an initial session.

My first session

Your first session will be a consultation, designed to establish a safe, respectful and trusting environment that supports the therapeutic process. During this time, we’ll discuss your expectations of counselling, clarify the roles of both client and therapist and cover key practicalities to ensure a clear and professional working agreement.

This initial meeting is also an opportunity for us to assess whether we’re a good fit for working together. We will explore your reasons for seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve through our sessions. Knowing what to expect can help you feel more comfortable and prepared for the work ahead.

Together, we will agree on important aspects of our work, including:

- The length and frequency of sessions

- The therapeutic approach or methods to be used

- The focus and scope of our work

- Boundaries and confidentiality, including its limits

Following the consultation, ongoing sessions will move into more therapeutic exploration, where we may begin to address specific issues such as symptoms, emotional challenges or past experiences that have brought you to therapy.

My aim is to provide a collaborative, supportive space where you can begin to understand, process and make meaningful changes in your life.
