About me and my therapy practice
If you are reading this I wonder if you are finding life difficult at the moment. Perhaps you are feeling anxious or depressed, living with the distress of uncertainty? Finding it difficult to let go of control, of perfectionism, feeling vulnerable or struggling with living in a ‘never enough’ world? Perhaps this is having a negative effect on your relationships, or you are struggling to understand traumatic events in your past, and you can no longer soldier on as before? However you may be feeling, it can feel really scary to come and talk to a counsellor. But I respect your courage to reach out, and I will listen to you with warmth and empathy. If your shield of protection feels like it no longer works for you, you are not alone. You are already taking a brave step towards seeking support, and together we will aim to work out where you are, and where you need to go.

Practice description
My Integrative, Relational approach means that I use a wide range of therapeutic modalities according to what you need, helping you to integrate self-awareness with different ways of coping with distress and feeling afraid. My philosophy of who you are as a person, and how that forms, is based on your relationships throughout your life, through early development to the present, and the environment around you.As a trauma-informed therapist, I am curious about what has happened to you, and have an awareness of how that changes you; impacting on relationships and your sense of safety. By exploring how you and I relate together in therapy, I aim to help you find different, and more helpful ways of relating to others in your life, facilitating an understanding of you, through empowerment, and a safe, trusting, therapeutic relationship.
Daytime and evening appointments are available.
My sessions are in person. I only offer online sessions in response to Covid.
