About me and my therapy practice

Hello! I'm Leigh.

If you are a late-diagnosed autistic individual (self-diagnosis is valid), and you're seeking a coach or mentor to support you, then you've come to the right place.

I won't use jargon like 'neurodivergent specialist' - what matters is genuine understanding and support. I have first-hand experience and can help you work with your brain, not against it.

When first going down the rabbit hole of understanding your own neurodivergence (we've all been there), it's a tangled web of trying to find the right box you fit in to best describe your experience and what you need. I don't believe we neatly fit into predefined boxes. That's why I offer a 100% personalised approach.

When we meet, we'll do a thorough deep dive into your understanding of being an autistic person. We'll identify specific support areas and collaboratively create a personalised plan focused on the tools and strategies you truly need, not those others think you should use.

Support includes:

  • Energy Management: Autistic burnout, time management, routines
  • Daily Living Skills: Household responsibilities, shopping, meal planning, financial planning
  • Navigation & Independence: Public transport, independent living strategies
  • Professional & Academic Development: Career planning, deadline management and self-employment time management
  • Personal Well-being: Sensory regulation, relationship building and boundary setting
  • Neurodivergent Experience: Understanding "AuDHD" internal conflict

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Leigh, and I am an integrative relational therapist. I choose to be integrative in my approach as I believe that the needs and story behind each individual are unique and a “one size fits all” ethos cannot be applied when it comes to therapy. Together we will find a style that works for you.

You might already have some understanding about yourself that you'd like to explore further (such as difficulties in your relationships, personality disorders, ADHD/ASD, self-esteem) or you may not know why you feel the way you do but understand you are ready for support. Either way, I can provide you with a safe space, where you can talk in a relaxed and informal way to explore what it is that brought you to therapy.

I can help you gain insight around your internalised beliefs, unconscious patterns and repeated behaviours that may dictate your life, so that you feel empowered to make healthier, more autonomous decisions. While you explore your emotions at a pace that is right for you, I will listen without making any judgements, seeking to help you overcome barriers and make progress on your journey.

Practice description

I enjoy working with people long-term to get to the root of what it is they are experiencing. Not just placing a small plaster over a large wound. I often work with clients who describe feeling left with a sense of “unfinished business” from previous short-term counselling and feel ready to explore themselves beyond a surface level.

Something I love about being a therapist is the opportunity to work with a wide diversity of clients. In particular, I have a lot of personal and clinical experience with neurodivergence, as well as gender, sex and relationship diversity (GSRD). I feel this is important to highlight as I am aware of the difficulties some clients may face in accessing therapy. I offer a safe and welcoming space to those looking to explore the challenges that are unique to them.

I love working both creatively and cognitively. This means I enjoy working alongside thinkers who want to be curious about themselves by joining the dots together; or with clients who like to play and create as part of their journey.

Whatever your situation, please feel free to contact me to find out more. I offer a free telephone consultation to help you decide whether I’d be a suitable therapist for you

My first session

The first session will be an assessment session where I will ask you questions about yourself and your history. This gives me an insight into you and you the opportunity to see if I am someone you feel comfortable going ahead with as a therapist.

About me and my therapy practice

As an experienced relational psychotherapist, I offer a dynamic and supportive supervision experience that prioritises attuning to your supervision needs. My approach is rooted in relational practice, where we co-create a reflective space that nurtures your unique therapeutic journey.

I believe supervision should be both a supportive embrace and a catalyst for professional challenge. While I provide a compassionate, holding environment where you can explore your clinical work safely, I'm equally committed to offering constructive challenging that promotes deeper self-awareness.

As an autistic therapist, I bring a unique perspective to supervision. My lived experience allows me to provide targeted support for therapists working with neurodivergent clients. I am particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent therapists, offering a deeply understanding and affirming supervision space that recognises  neurodivergent strengths and challenges. Whether you are a neurodivergent practitioner navigating professional challenges or seeking to understand your own neurodivergent identity within your therapeutic practice, I provide a supportive and insightful approach that values your unique neurological perspective.

Drawing from a relational integrative framework, I aim to create a supervision relationship that is authentic, nurturing, and intellectually stimulating.

What I can offer

The services I offer are:

  • Supervision sessions ongoing - fortnightly or monthly

This option would be for those looking for ongoing supervisory support

  • Supervision sessions one off

For therapists that would like focused support around working with neurodivergent clients, but have a different ongoing supervisor

  • Coaching sessions

This may be for you if you are navigating working as a therapist as a neurodivergent individual.

Please feel free to get in touch for more information on any of these services I offer.

Practice description

I offer supervision both in person and online. My supervision training covered the "seven eyed model" which has given me a depth of understanding on how to best explore your therapeutic space in a supervisory setting.  I offer creative ways of working as well as plenty of space for talking and I love working collaboratively.

I also have training as a group facilitator, and offer group supervision at a discounted rate per supervisee (up to 3 as a maximum).

My first session

I don't believe that one size fits all when it comes to learning or supervision styles.

Therefore, I would spend our first session learning about you as a therapist and person. This will include understanding your therapeutic journey so far as well as areas you feel you thrive in and where you have room for development.
