With over twenty-five years of experience as a Dual Nurse, encompassing roles as both a Registered General Nurse and a Registered Mental Health Nurse, I bring a wealth of expertise to my practice. Additionally, I hold a Degree in Health Studies and obtained qualifications in Person-Centered Counseling with a Diploma in early 2020. Furthermore, I am also an EMDR-Qualified Practitioner in adult and children.
In my counseling practice, I prioritise the value and respect of each client, maintaining strict confidentiality within a safe and comfortable environment. Here, you're encouraged to share your concerns, anxieties, and issues in a non-judgmental atmosphere.
Recognising the challenges life can present, I assure you that during our counseling sessions, there will be no judgment. Instead, I strive to establish an excellent and trusting rapport, ensuring that these sessions serve as your dedicated time and space to explore your thoughts and emotions.
My role is to support you on your personal journey, helping you uncover your inner strength and discover your own answers. Through our work together, you'll gain new insights, resilience, and confidence to continue on your life journey.
Rest assured, I am committed to being by your side every step of the way.
Practice description
In January 2020, I achieved a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Preston's College.
My journey into counselling began later in life after obtaining qualifications as a Registered Nurse in 1995 and as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1999. Additionally, I hold a degree in Health Studies. I am also certified as an EMDR-Qualified Practitioner in child and adolescent.
My primary focus lies within the realm of mental health, particularly addressing issues such as panic attacks, self-harm, and anxiety. Counselling, in my experience, is a powerful tool for enhancing mental well-being, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking improvement in their mental health.

Upon making contact, we'll schedule your first session at your convenience. In my inviting therapy room, you'll discover a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you can freely express any worries or concerns.

This initial meeting is crucial as it allows you the opportunity to determine if I am the right counsellor for you. Throughout our time together, my focus lies in cultivating a trusting relationship where you feel secure sharing in a confidential and supportive environment.
