About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes you can feel like you’re surviving rather than living. You find yourself sad, anxious or stuck in old patterns, and it’s impacting your life, relationships or work. Therapy can help you find or even rediscover your joy, purpose and nurturing relationships. I provide a safe and gently challenging space where we collaboratively work towards your needs.

Underpinning my work is the understanding that early experiences and past relationships shape who you are today, consciously and unconsciously. Whilst what brings you to therapy may be happening today, often its roots are in the past and how its shaped your belief systems, attitudes, and behaviours towards yourself, others, and the world. Although we cannot change the past, we can change how it impacts you in the present. And that's what we will aim to do together.

This approach is tailored to your unique situation and life story. Bringing a warmth to the therapeutic relationship, together we can explore what is weighing on you, set goals and work together to find a way through – towards living again.

I'm an Integrative Counsellor with 10 years’ experience working in mental health. Originally trained as a Psychologist, I have worked in research, the NHS, and domestic abuse services. My background forms a solid foundation that enhances my work today in supporting you through your individual life experiences, from anxiety and depression, to relationships, to work issues.

Practice description

My integrative style takes a modern approach, built on a foundation of key thinkers in psychotherapy, and developed by current research. In practice, this means we explore how you are in the world now, what is from your past that no longer serves you, and work to where you want to be.

Therapy can be hard to describe and is better experienced, but it can feel daunting to take the first step. It's really important to find a therapist you connect with, so before we start working together, I provide an initial consultation for us to meet and for you to experience working with me. If you’re interested in finding out more, please get in touch.

I am working both online and in-person. My East London office is based on the Hackney/Tower Hamlets border, across the road from Cambridge Heath station. It is also a short walk from Bethnal Green station and near London Fields, E2.
