About me and my therapy practice

Counselling allows you the space to explore your feelings, discomforts, confusion and anxieties. Life can be stressful and overwhelming, you may be feeling sad or anxious. Sometimes, it is difficult to reach out for help. Whatever you are experiencing, by searching for a counsellor you have taken the first step towards investing in yourself.

I have 7 years of experience working with counselling clients; this includes working with charities, private work, rape crisis support, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation. I am here to use my training and skills to help support the change you are seeking. There is no place in counselling for judgement, purely a safe space for you to explore, to use the time and the therapy process to create movements in your life. I am not here to provide you with a clinical, sterile experience, but as a real person, here to listen, guide and be ready to invest in you.

I hold CPD Certificates in the following -

Working with Substance use

ADHD and Counselling

Working online

Trauma-informed practice

Hearing Voices

Domestic Abuse

Sexual Violence and Rape

Eating Disorders

Working with Neurodivergent Clients

Autism and Counselling

Practice description

My approach to counselling is integrative, this means that I use different approaches and techniques to meet your needs.

Alongside counselling, my previous work has included working with individuals with different learning disabilities, mental health needs and chronic conditions, specifically stroke. I am a professionally qualified Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My first session

Once you have made contact, we can arrange an initial telephone consultation to answer any questions you may have. If you decide you would like to work together, we can then arrange a session.

Sessions are remotely held on Zoom, though I am open to alternatives if needed.

There is no obligation to continue if you feel we are not compatible, finding a therapist that you feel you can work with is important and I can explore other possibilities with you. I provide long and short-term therapy.
