About me and my therapy practice

Online or by Telephone and some Face-to-Face meetings upon request. I am a person-centred counsellor working in private practise.

I am bound by the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Profession and its supplementary guidance: Working Online providing confidentiality within these guidelines. Counselling sessions online are via - Zoom for Telehealth (HIPAA compliant secure encrypted video & instant message). FaceTime (encrypted video and audio), Proton mail (secure encrypted email), or Telephone (dedicated line - no recording or call charges), Face to Face available upon request.

My approach is predominantly person centred which means I offer a warm and confidential safe space for you to talk through your problems whether they are current or rise from past events. I have worked extensively with people from all walks of life in areas which include anxiety, stress, loss, trauma, abuse, parental alienation, parents involved in child care proceedings, bereavement, depression, relationships, self-esteem, life stages, life management, personal growth, confidence, co-dependency, and people pleasing. I am experienced in working with those presenting in crisis and those bringing traumatic experiences to be worked through. I also have significant experience of working within the field of domestic abuse.

After a career of working with vulnerable families, I trained to be a person-centred counsellor. My experience is gained from working within voluntary and private sectors, including local women's refuges and the local authority with individuals who have experienced trauma and loss.
