About me and my therapy practice

I'm an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist who specialises in providing therapy tailored to children and young people, while also providing therapy for adults. I'm a fun, creative and encouraging therapist who can work with Life transitions, Depression, Trauma, Anxiety, Self-esteem issues, Self-harm, Stress (which includes stress related to COVID), Suicidal feelings and more.

My experience

I have an undergraduate degree in Counselling, Psychology and Therapies as well as a master's degree in Counselling Children and Young People and CPD in Psychotherapy. I have also worked with individuals from various ethnic backgrounds with several different presenting issues.

I use a variety of modalities depending on each individual client's needs. I'm particularly attuned to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic (psychoanalytic) psychotherapy and Creative Therapy using meditation, voice, breath, body work, therapy toys and drawing i.e. paintings.

I'm an open-minded, caring, non-judgemental, fun, empathetic and honest person who has a passion for helping the next generation of tomorrows to flourish into healthy adults.

I’m also aware that seeking professional help can be scary and you can be anxious about speaking to someone, but I'm able to create a safe space where you are able to freely express yourself and be heard. In this safe space, you can talk about anything you would like to and feel empowered to make a change.

As an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist, I believe the relationship between a client and a therapist is the very foundation towards a journey of exploration. I also believe when we are in the right environment, we have the chance to grow and develop.

I can offer both short- and long-term services.

If you're happy with sessions to continue after our consultation, I will set up a session and will arrange to see you at a time that is convenient for you.

My first session

The first session will consist of an introduction to counselling and psychotherapy as well as how we can work together to help you with the situation.  The sessions are for 50 minutes and are either in-person, on Zoom, Teams, Skype or over the phone. I also like to play games to help break the ice.
