Group therapy in SE11 London area on Saturdays from 10am until 12 noon.
About me and my therapy practice
I work with clients to raise awareness of cues from the body and mind to make sense of personal, often protective, and defensive patterns in relationship to others and the world that have formed. When you build awareness of your personal responses and where they come from, it becomes possible to look at other potential responses that may serve your happiness better.
I can support you to practise recognising, speaking and acting from your authentic self through experimentation and explore your unique strengths which every person has but are often unaware of or minimised.
The therapeutic relationship in Gestalt is important and the building of trust in a space where you feel safe to be curious about what happens for you in each present moment. The therapy space acts as a microcosm which reflects how you relate to the outside world and this can be explored. By raising your self-awareness through contact and experimentation and building capacity for vulnerability and openness, you naturally become enabled to make more conscious decisions and feel gradually more confident about handling emotions.
Although Gestalt is my primary mode of working, I also incorporate elements of internal family systems modality (working with younger internal parts) and family constellations; looking at unresolved generational family patterns and how your unique qualities can support your wider family system.
