About me and my therapy practice
There's more to counselling than just listening and asking how you feel. You might be asking, what do I bring that's different?
I bring metaphors to help paint the picture that's sometimes too hard to describe in words. I bring humour. I bring care, attention, and a non-judgemental attitude.
Practice description
Are you ready? I am ready to walk alongside you in your journey and help you navigate through your reality, coming to terms with life changes and finding your 'purpose'.
How I work:
I won't judge you, but I will respect you.
I won't tell you how to feel, but I will help you notice your feelings.
I won't tell you what to do, but I will help you decipher why you do it.
I won't act like the 'expert' in your own life, but I will assist you to feel in more control of your life.
My experience is in a range of topics and being a Person-Centred Counsellor means that the relationship between us is the key ingredient to success (you getting what you need from therapy).
I provide walking therapy in parks across Nottinghamshire, face to face therapy - I rent rooms in NG17 and NG18 areas currently (Kirkby-in-Ashfield & Mansfield), online and telephone counselling. Please get in touch with your preference.
Couples counselling charged at £55 per 50 minute session and individual counselling at £45 per 50 minute session.
My first session
When you contact me, please give me an idea on what you wish to achieve from counselling. This will give me an understanding if I am best placed to work with you.
I will go through the counselling agreement and any other questions you have in the first session but the most important thing is that you feel that you have been heard and understood from the start.
