About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP-registered psychodynamic counsellor working with adults (18+) and offering both short-term and long-term therapy. Alongside my private practice, I work as a therapist for Barnardo’s and have contributed to several charitable organisations throughout my career. I hold a degree in Psychology and Management, a Masters in Personnel Management, and professional qualifications in psychodynamic counselling and trauma.
Practice description
I specialise in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and loneliness. Talking through your experiences can bring relief and help you feel less isolated.
My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening in your life and to support you in seeing things from new perspectives. I offer a space where you’ll be heard without judgment or interruption. Rather than giving advice, I aim to listen, understand, and explore with you.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as an HR and change management consultant. This experience deepened my understanding of how people respond to change in different ways. I also trained as a coach, which enables me to integrate techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support meaningful change.
I’ve worked with adults at various life stages who are navigating trauma, grief, or significant transitions and want to explore how these experiences have shaped them.
My academic background includes a BA in Management and Psychology, an MA in Personnel Management, a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, a Diploma in Somatic Informed Trauma Therapy, and a Certificate in Adoption Support Counselling. I’m also a qualified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA England) and a registered member of both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society.
