About me and my therapy practice
I am a grounded and qualified Humanistic Counsellor whose studied modalities include Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt therapy, and Transactional Analysis, I have the asset of a theoretical tool-chest that lends itself to considering how your past may determine and affect your life today.I value difference and deliver a multi-cultural and diverse service that will support you on your path of self-discovery. I am not able to fix you as I don’t have all of the answers, but I will support you in any uncertain and problematic places that you want to explore. I have experience of supporting people with general anxiety, physical and mental abuse, emotional conflicts, shame, depression, low mood, lack of confidence and self-esteem, grief, bereavement (NHS & community based), loneliness and lack of focus, resolving trauma, managing addictions and all areas of difficulty that these obstacles or problems can bring to the fore.
I value individual difference, honesty, integrity and connection, you will be supported in finding your own path in making sense of whatever made you seek counselling as I strongly believe that all individuals have the ability to become empowered in finding their own answers. I know that I am not a fixer, and I don’t have all the answers, although I might have a suggestion or two. I know that I am OK to sit with people in chaos. I can tolerate stuckness, and I am not afraid to be afraid, nor walk alongside you into an unknown place.” I will endeavour to work In Harmony with you at all times.
Practice description
Online Counselling
My online individual therapy consists of regular long-term & short-term work, online video, and telephone counselling, usually weekly, 50 minutes sessions within a confidential space with myself and accessed by you from the privacy of your own home/space, thus saving time and reducing costs.
In-Harmony Online therapy is designed to make the service we provide as broadly accessible as possible with improved simplicity of connection (all you need is access to a PC, tablet or smartphone), which can for many be less intimidating than a more traditional consultation room setting, with no loss of success compared to face-to-face counselling.
Telephone Counselling
Clients who don’t have regular access to the internet opt for Telephone Counselling, where all you need is a landline or mobile phone. Telephone Counselling provides a flexible and convenient alternative for disabled and housebound clients, providing a relaxed way of receiving personalised affordable therapeutic support at home.
I am committed to working In-Harmony and with diversity by extending my reach to clients who would struggle either physically or emotionally to be with me in a consultation room.
