About me and my therapy practice
Have you been feeling lost, worried, lonely, or struggling to meet or maintain relationships? Perhaps it is difficult to find motivation, to keep a job or feel fulfilled with your life. Whatever it is you may be experiencing, I can offer a confidential and warm space for you to explore and discuss anything that may be troubling you. I'm Silvia (she/her), an integrative therapist based in London. I use different approaches to understand and relate with my clients: Person-centred, psychodynamic, existential, Mindfulness and GSRD (Gender, Sex, Relationship Diversity Therapy). Clients are unique, and as such, there is no “one approach or theory” that suits everyone so I work with whatever clients bring to the room, to support them in making sense of their experiences. I understand that past experiences have an important role in individuals’ lives and help my clients so they can make sense of how these past experiences may be affecting their current lives.
I have a strong commitment to diversity, and I am an LGBTQ+ friendly, trauma informed practitioner. I believe individuals are part of larger communities and play roles in society. Sometimes these are detrimental to their wellbeing. Sometimes people must hide who they really are. I strive to practice from an identity-affirming way, with the understanding that different identities and lived experiences will shape how we experience the world. I provide a non-judgemental space where people feel safe to explore their identities.
