About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced accredited counsellor based in Brighton working with adults online. I provide an accepting and empowering relationship, working collaboratively to explore what’s brought you to therapy, your hopes and your fears.

I specialise in working with trauma, sexual identity, gender identity, relationship styles, self-esteem, loss, bereavement, anxiety and depression.

My therapeutic practice is defined by a relational way of being built on warmth, creativity, compassion, integrity and humour. I stay alongside you, to support you in setting the pace and tone of counselling. I believe therapy can be a space to focus on understanding your problems and barriers, to explore how you experience the world, enabling you to understand the internal conflicts and unhelpful patterns which might hold you back.

Building a greater sense of awareness regarding your feelings can be painful to start with, but with gentle witnessing can often create a sense of freedom leading to new choices in your life.

I have a postgraduate degree in Humanistic Psychotherapy and have been practising for 6 years. Previously to working privately, my experience includes bereavement counselling within a hospice setting and counselling at Mind Out an LGBTQ Mental Health Charity.
