About me and my therapy practice
I am an accredited member of the BACP and adhere to their framework for safe and ethical practice which promotes a genuine, open and respectful therapeutic relationship. I offer one-to-one counselling working with early separation, loss and trauma, to both adults and children.
I work using an integrative model which means that my approach is client-centred, attachment-based and interpretive. I see the importance of the relationship between counsellor and client as central. Building trust in a consistent and confidential relationship can offer a safe space to work through complex emotional issues rooted in childhood and so help to gain self-awareness and the confidence to become one’s genuine self.
I will work with you in a reliable manner so that you can build the inner strength to make new choices. Everyone is different so I will respect and value you as a unique individual who has the right to be heard and to make your own decisions. My training and experiences have shown me how talking therapy can lead to self-empowerment, more honesty in personal relationships and, for some, an improvement in physical, as well as emotional health.
