About me and my therapy practice
There are times when our lives seem out of control and we can't see a way forward. We can feel alone, isolated and helpless. Counselling may provide the support you need to get through this.
Based in the Aberdeen area, I have been active as a counsellor since 2013. Initially I specialised in Bereavement and Loss counselling as a volunteer with Cruse Bereavement Scotland. Through my private practice and association with One-to-One (ACIS) and Mearns Counselling I am experienced in providing support to adults and young people dealing with a wide spectrum of issues.
As a warm, caring and empathic counsellor I aim to help my clients feel comfortable enough to share what's on their mind. Building and maintaining a trusting relationship is an essential part of the therapeutic journey and central to how we will work together through the various stages.
My person-centred counselling approach gives you the opportunity to talk through your difficulties. I listen to you and support you in the changes you would like to make. Talking in complete confidence to someone who is independent and non-judgmental can let you see things from a different perspective.
The first step is often the hardest, it takes courage to admit that you might need some help and by reaching out to a counsellor you are already on the road to self-improvement.
If you feel stuck and want to get moving again, do contact me and we can start to explore the therapeutic possibilities which counselling can offer.
