I am based in Heswall, Wirral on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday day and evening.
I also offer online sessions.
About me and my therapy practice
An experienced accredited counsellor/psychotherapist working with adults and teenagers. I work using an integrative* approach, so I tailor the sessions around whatever you bring.
My areas of interest are Anxiety, depression, OCD, childhood abuse/trauma and emotional eating.
I am trained to use the survivor to thriver programme. The only programme that provides a framework for the complex process of healing from childhood abuse (emotional, physical and sexual)
Before being self-employed worked for both Wirral Mind and Childline so gained valuable experience working with all ages.
*Integrative – being an integrative counsellor just means I was trained to work using several different strands of therapy including person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT. I have also done further training in Trauma Focussed Therapy and rewind. All this means is I can adapt my style of working to whatever it is you bring to give you the best experience/support I possibly can.
My first session
During your first session we will spend some time going through the counselling agreement together. This gives us a chance to look at what I can offer you as a therapist and gives me an idea what it is you are hoping to get from our time together.
I offer a free initial consultation by zoom or phone whichever suits, giving us a chance to have a chat before our first session.
