About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I am a person centred therapist and CBT practitioner and youth worker. My whole focus is on help adults, children and teenagers get the best possible outcome from our sessions
To help clients access professional therapy I have taken the decision to reduce my fees to £35 per hour. I hope this will be more affordable, and allow more adults/ children and young people access support
Practice description
I offer face to face and Zoom counselling to adults, children and young people. My sessions are at my home, in a safe, private and welcoming therapy room. I know that all of us feel more comfortable and able to talk about our worries if know that we won't be judged. Taking a person centred approach to help clients understand, and address issues that may be having a negative impact on the quality of their lives/ their families lives. I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural therapy. I also have a diploma in adolescent counselling. I work with children and young people who have shown harmful sexual behaviour, towards family members and also the victims of harmful sexual behaviour. Each person who comes into counselling will need a personalised approach, however I expect the vast majority of clients to need as few as 4 sessions, most 10 sessions to come away with a better understanding of themselves, and the tools they need to maintain the healthier way dealing with their issues.
I offer therapy to families and couples also
My first session
Within our first session, we can spend time building trust. This is a very important session, as I listen to your issues. There is no obligation to continue. All sessions are built around your needs, at a pace that suits you. I feel any client who takes this first step into counselling should feel, safe in the knowledge they are working with an experienced non judgemental therapist.
