About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Lynn but everyone calls me Elle. My core theories/approaches are person centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT).
I specialise in working with adults experiencing complex/compound bereavement. I also specialise in working with adults who have ADHD.
I work both face-to-face and online via video.
My role as your counsellor is to provide you a safe, confidential space to navigate what is happening in your life and walk with you on a journey of healing and self-discovery. Together we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives and empowers you to make lasting, meaningful changes in your life.
I hold the following qualifications / registrations: -

I am committed to excellence in my practice and regularly undertake continuing professional development in a wide variety of subjects to hone my skills, increase my knowledge and understanding, and gain new insights and perspectives. Such subjects include but are not limited to - diversity and inclusion, working with suicidal risk, eating disorders, LGBTQ+, bereavement, ADHD, autism, GDPR, as well as other psychological theories and techniques that may add to my counselling practice.
Practice description
Specialisms
Complex/Compound Bereavement
Bereavement can become complex or compounded when the period of mourning extends for many months, years, even decades. This could be a result of multiple losses, a complex relationship with the person who died, or if your loved one died in a traumatic way. Navigating the feelings of loss and grief can become even more challenging and overwhelming. Together we can journey through what has happened, explore its effects on you and your life and find creative ways to move through the mourning process.
ADHD
Whether you're newly diagnosed, self-diagnosed or simply suspect you have ADHD, you may have a great many questions, feelings and behaviours to maneuver through as you begin to understand yourself and how ADHD has affected your life. You may find it difficult to fully make sense of it all or understand how to cope and manage with ADHD. Together we can explore ways to manage and cope with symptoms while unpacking the emotions and behaviours that arise for you because of ADHD. Having ADHD myself, as well as adult children with ADHD, I have extensive personal knowledge and experience in working with ADHD and find it rewarding to work with others who are newly enlightened to their neurodiversity. Please note I am not qualified to assess, diagnose or prescribe meditation.
