About me and my therapy practice
Counselling is an investment that can make a big difference, not only to your present but to your future.
Reaching out for support can be hard and feel a risk. It's brave and can be the first of many steps towards the place you'd like to be.
I understand that life can be a struggle, with incredibly difficult and painful experiences encountered along the way. These can have a knock-on effect on how we cope day to day, view ourselves, respond to situations, how we are in relationships and how our mental health is. Things often get pushed to the side rather than dealt with, leaving us with an accumulation of unresolved issues, unfelt pain, and unacknowledged thoughts and feelings.
Counselling can be a proactive step to finding a positive and healthy way forward. It is an under-utilised resource which can be such a useful tool in so many situations.
Low self-esteem and low confidence can have repercussions in so many areas of our life and relationships. They can be crippling.
I have a special interest in supporting people around these areas . I'd love to work with you to improve this so that you can be more accepting and happier with who you are, find the confidence to try things which will help lead you along more fulfilling paths. We can look at what's got you to this place, how it affects you, how you feel about it, and ways forward.
Every person is unique, incredible and worthy to be loved, and you are no exception!
Practice description
I am here to provide a safe, accepting and confidential space, hearing what you want to bring to sessions and exploring what meaning they have for you. I will be alongside you and help facilitate you in gaining awareness of your self, your process and insights, supporting you through problems, making sense of what you are going through and grasping hold of hope.
Whilst words are a powerful form of communication they do not come easily to everyone, some thrive on external, others internal processing. I have visual resources which can be useful as another form of communication, processing and exploration, and can help when words seem inadequate, stuck, difficult or need some time to develop and become clear.
I am a Person-Centered counsellor based in Coventry CV2.
I have counselled people from all sorts of backgrounds with a wide variety of issues in the counselling agencies I have volunteered/ worked in.
I'd love to hear from you if any of this resonates with you and seems to be what you're looking for. Get in touch for the free 15 minute phone consultation if you have any questions or want to get a bit more of a feel for me before you make a decision.
