About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor working with adults from a therapy practice in Hackney, London E8. I also teach counselling at the University of East London.
Are you feeling lost or stuck, at one of life’s many crossroads or facing a difficult decision? You may be feeling low, or anxious and unsure of yourself. Or perhaps you have lost touch with joy, gratitude or a sense of meaning in your life. Whatever it is, if you are looking at this profile you are probably feeling in need of some extra support right now.
Drawing on a range of different therapy modalities, which can be useful with different clients at different times depending on their needs, I aim to offer you a supportive, accepting, confidential space, free of judgement, from which I hope you will feel invited and safe to explore your myriad thoughts, feelings, behaviours and emotions.
Practice description
I work within a framework called personal consultancy, which combines techniques from a range of counselling, psychotherapy and coaching approaches to make lasting changes in your inner and outer worlds, in other words emotional and behavioural change.
I work in a person-centred, collaborative way, meaning sessions are client-led. This means there is no set agenda, we will work on the material you bring each week at a pace that feels right for you.
I will be alongside you as you explore your inner world, your patterns and relationships - whether past or present – and future hopes and dreams.
I embrace and value diversity in all its forms, and have worked with a wide range of clients on a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationships, loss, self-esteem, identity, illness and life transitions, as well as with goal setting and coaching.
I can offer short or long term counselling, depending on your goals.
My first session
If you like the sound of the way I work you can contact me for a free 30-minute initial consultation. This is a chance for me to hear a bit about why you are seeking counselling at this time and what your goals are. It is also a chance for you to ask me about my practice, and for us to see if we feel we could be a good fit to work together.
I look forward to hearing from you.
