About me and my therapy practice
I support adults aged 18 + from a variety of cultures and backgrounds via In person, Telephone, Zoom and Outdoors (Walk and Talk Therapy).
I work with (but not limited to) trauma, bereavement including miscarriage and infant loss, domestic and sexual violence, depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues and identity. I also work affirmatively with the LGBTQI+ community and I am an LGBTQ+ ally.
I will talk with you, listen to you and support you to understand where you want to go, who you want to be and how to get there. It’s important to me that you feel valued, understood and safe to explore your thoughts and feelings, to help you make positive steps to move forward in your life the way you choose.
The decision to come to counselling can be nerve wracking and frightening but can also be the first step to bringing understanding and change to your life to get you back to the you that you want to be.
You can contact me via e-mail or telephone, and we can arrange a brief consultation to explore what you want from therapy and what I can offer, and you can then decide if you want to book your first session.

Practice description
Walk and Talk Counselling is what it says on the tin - we meet outside and walk and talk.
In these sessions, you set the pace of the walk and have the opportunity to let the outside in.
This can provide an alternative to looking at a screen, or speaking into the phone, offering a change of scenery and allowing nature be a part of the sessions.
Sometimes, you may prefer to just sit outside rather than walk and talk and that's perfectly fine! Whichever way you feel most comfortable, we'll work together, talk together so you have that release and an opportunity to focus on you.
My first session
Our first session will build upon the themes of our consultation discussion and start to build a relationship together so that you can feel free to talk and express yourself and your feelings in the way that you choose.
In outdoor therapy, we will also discuss your preferences of being outside, for example, do you prefer to walk on the path or get on the grass and in the mud?
I will be there to support you and answer any questions you may have so that you feel you can get the most out of the sessions.
