About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist working in East London.
Are you experiencing depression, low mood, and problems in your relationship, or at work? Do you struggle with self-doubt, anxiety, bereavement/loss or compulsive behaviour or thoughts, such as addictions or eating disorders? You may lack motivation and direction in life, or find things difficult and meaningless. You may even just have a general sense that things are not quite right, but don't know why. These are just some of the many issues I can help you with.
I offer a space which is confidential, empathic and non-judgmental, so you can safely explore whatever it is that is troubling you. I place great emphasis on our relationship. Research shows that a good therapeutic relationship is the most crucial component in guaranteeing a successful positive outcome. My aim therefore is to work collaboratively with you, to ensure you feel comfortable, safe and understood.
Overtime and with careful and sensitive facilitation I can help you to identify what needs to change in your life to resolve current difficulties. I can also support and empower you, in achieving these changes, by building on your strengths and helping you to access the necessary tools you will need, so that you experience a greater sense of well- being and fulfilment.
I work in an integrative way, which means I have many different approaches I can draw from. This gives us the opportunity to work together to find a specific method that works best for you.
I have worked for many years as a counsellor in the NHS in the fields of Sexual Health and Bereavement. I also worked as student counsellor in a University. And although I do not specialise, or focus, on one particular area of counselling, I regularly draw from my pool of specialist experience, when working with my clients.
